Panaria Ceramica surfaces were used for the redevelopment of a campsite on the shores of Lake Garda

Panaria Ceramica’s porcelain stoneware surfaces are the undisputed stars of the beautiful terraces of Camping delle Rose, spread over an area of 30,000 sq m in Moniga del Garda in the province of Brescia.

The tourist facility offers its guests mobile homes and bungalows overlooking the lake, as well as equipped camping areas, a beach with a jetty and slipway for boats and a multi-purpose service centre.

The functional and landscaping redevelopment overseen by architect Elena Cupolo was part of the implementation of the local government scheme, developed by the Municipality and the Province, whose main goals included reducing environmental impact. The designer particularly focused on the area facing the lake to create a first row for the free camping areas and to increase the visual void between the beach and the bungalows, new housing solutions made with eco-friendly features.

The architect took enormous care over the design of the exteriors in relation to the landscape.

Buff porcelain stoneware from Panaria Ceramica’s Cross Wood collection – in the 20 mm thickness with high technical performance, including for outdoor use – was chosen for the floor coverings of the terraces that extend the view of the lake and increase the spaces’ liveability, seeking aesthetic harmony with the covering of the façades and, at the same time, continuity with the interior flooring.

Panaria Ceramica’s Cross Wood reinterprets natural wood with its beautiful veins, knots and honey-coloured shades. The 30×120 cm format slats add a dynamic touch to the surface, which is laid with a floating system on fixed supports, an easier solution adopted for practical reasons.

The ceramic choice meets the functional requirements of strength, durability and maintenance, especially in terms of the campsite’s accommodation, combining economic sustainability and aesthetic qualities.
